The glass transition temperature of PET resin is higher, the crystallization rate is slower, the moulding cycle is longer, the moulding cycle is longer, the shrinkage rate is larger, the dimensional stability is poor, the crystallization moulding is brittle and the heat resistance is low.

Through the improvement of nucleating agent, crystallizer and glass fiber reinforced, PET has the following characteristics besides PBT property:

1. Thermal deformation temperature and long-term service temperature are the highest in thermoplastic general engineering plastics.

2. Because of its high heat resistance, the reinforced PET is impregnated in a soldering bath at 250 C for 10 seconds, hardly deformed or discolored, so it is especially suitable for preparing electronic and electrical parts of tin soldering.

3. Bending strength 200 MPa, modulus of elasticity 4000MPa, creep resistance and fatigue resistance are also good, surface hardness is high, mechanical properties are similar to thermosetting plastics;

4. Because the price of ethylene glycol used in PET production is almost half that of butanediol used in PBT production, the price of PET resin and reinforced PET is the lowest in engineering plastics and has a high cost performance ratio.

5. Adhesion of PET resin: sili-1706 single-component room temperature vulcanizate, cured elastomer has excellent waterproof, shock-proof adhesives, high and low temperature resistance. Due to the research of molecular structure of resin, the technology of dilution is specially used for bonding engineering plastics.

6. PET alloying property: Because the price of ethylene glycol used in producing PET is almost half cheaper than that of butanediol used in producing PBT, the price of PET resin and reinforced PET is the lowest in engineering plastics and has a high cost performance ratio. In order to improve the properties of PET, PET can form alloys with PC, elastomer, PBT, PS, ABS and PA.
